I have one question - how insta 360 app detected insta360 videos via otg ( card reader - sd card) because its not working for me.

How's this compare to just using Polycam+iPhone?

Hi Daniel Just wanted to say your videos are fantastic! I did sign up for your $100 online training of the Insta 360 Camera. Your course is also very helpful. I'm only 25% through your course. Lots more to learn. I do have a question for you. I want to make a 4K video that is not 360 degrees using my Gopro. The during the course of my video I want to add a 360 video and some still shots, all in the same video I want to produce. Is this possible?

YOu are the first person on UA-cam to actually mention the very poor image quality these cameras have. Watching others mostly payed review they only showed crazy videos in perfect conditions and heavily edited. When i got my own x3 no matter the lighting conditions and resolution or HDR the videos produced were garbage. Anything less than Ultra Wide and Mega WIde resulted in very blurry and pixelated edges , only the center was slightly clear. So only wide shots were usable. I thought the camera had a problem so i RMAed it but they said its in perfect working condition and was nothing wrong with it. But still every video i reframed and zoomed or dewarped was pure garbage. Even in broad daylight with low ISO and good shutter speed the results are mediocre at best if you chose to zoom in a little. Unfortunately for me its doesnt make the cut , i dont want to edit forever to have usable results.Not to mention anything less than 5.7k is a joke.

Great video. Thanks for confirming there is not much editing for the x4. I had the x2 as well and the x2 as you know was a lot more edit-friendly in Bullet Time mode.

I have a problem when I taking a video the Lens imaging goes black there is no color in my video

I was just watching this effect on another channel and the reflection of the selfie stick didn't even show up in a window. Something was off in the video then I spotted it and said WTH so I had to search then found your video. That is so cool! Like everyone else, I thought he might have green screened the stick and used editing, it was another person, it was a selfie drone. Hah, none of those.

You’re so right the head strap on the Quest 3 is awful. I had to order a different one after an hour using it. The itching and pressure spots and the fact that it pushes down on your face is so bad that you have to wonder why they even shipped it that way

The quality you are getting in your videos is WAY better than what I'm getting from my Insta360 x4. I'm shooting 8k / 30fps and I'm exporting from Insta360 Studio at the maximum bitrate and in H265. Are those the settings you use? Thanks in advance!

G'day I want to take timelapses of lots of planes landing as i live really close to Adelaide Airport what setting in 8k would you recommend for these times 10 minutes 15 minutes 30 minutes length of videos ? There can be between 10 & 15 planes in 60 minutes . MTIA for your help and I am big fan of your content as you help a lot of people.

can the windows be moved around to where the timeline is at the top of the screen, or say the editing buttons. I am legally blind and concerned on how difficult the software will be for me to use. So I guess my questions is does it have accessability options?

Where do the blasted images go when I use my iPad??? If I use my iPad and export to insta360 & share I can see my pics & vidz - people are even 'liking' them, but where ARE they? can I access them with my desktop browser? (because I can't figure that out at all). When I log in to insta360 on my desktop and search for my nickname it doesn't find me. Is it a separate site? I'd like to get access from my desktop computer to edit & even type additional stuff on the full keyboard, but I simply cannot find out where these things are Furthermore the software remains admant that I live in some place I've never ever been in my entire life - yet I keep forcing it to be local and it just won't - then delights in stamping my photos with this annoying "Blackburn and Darwen" text that makes utterly no sense whatsoever - I had to look it up to find it is a location in England. (I live in Scotland and my iPad knows EXACTLY where I am (frighteningly so)

Thank you for your work. I own an Insta360 RS 1-isch camera. I use it for filming while fishing. But it’s always very scary for her - she is leaky and afraid of water. And I wanted to change it to X4. But after your review I decided that I would have to buy a new camera and keep the old one))

How is the webcam quality ? Is it 4K or 1080 ?

I only have ace pro. I imported to iPad. If I use studio-do I re import? And where is aqua vision on studio. Also had some weird file corruption- is that typical? It was pure video shots underwater

Thanks for the video, but having an issue. After editing the clips and clicking "create a video", I select the edited clips I want. However, once the full video editor opens, all of the clips revert to the original long (unedited) versions. None of my reframing or anything remains. I don't understand why my edited clips are not showing up in the editor.

how do you get really clean video out of the x4. on my x4 with highest quality setting there is noise(grainy), even on nice sunny day

so i have to edit the video thru phon first? because i directly edited the video in my laptop and the vid quality still super sucks :((((
